Wireless Delivered™ Live is a portable, real-time, electronic job control and signature capture system enabling instant and affordable information transfer between back office systems and field staff.

It is an intelligent piece of software that is configured and installed onto mobile devices to give office based staff the ability to communicate with remote workers to share information or complete jobs wirelessly. This product is unique because it gives an organisation the opportunity to streamline its processes into a tailored and affordable solution that helps to monitor workflow and staff while they are on the road.

The software is configured to replicate the paper processes that a field worker and office worker have to complete in order for a job to be processed, delivered and invoiced.  The software is installed onto a mobile device which the field worker can then use to receive, track and complete jobs while out on the road.  The information can be communicated from the mobile device to the back office system and back again, in real time, via a GPRS network.

How it works

Wireless Delivered™ Live can be deployed on Microsoft Windows CE ®, Pocket PC 2003, Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 devices and it doesn’t have to be a uniform device across the organization.

Central to the operation is the Wireless Delivered™ Gateway or "middleware" product. This is the central hub that enables both communication with the office system (via the Internet or other network connections) and the mobile device (via GPRS).

GPRS "push technology" ensures a reliable, instant transfer of information between base and mobile workers. The technology effectively pushes information between the office system and mobile device, removing the need for the traditional logging on or dial up mobile device, removing the need for the traditional logging on or dial up.  The two technologies work together to optimise and relay information between the back office application and handheld mobile device both reliably and in real-time.
